  1. 1. 2012-2013Dear Parents and Students,Welcome to the 2012-2013 school year! I am so excited to get thisnew school year underway.Being a fifth grader at Irving School is a big responsibility! I hopethis is a year each student will look back on fondly as they go throughlife.Fifth graders are the biggest role models for the younger studentshere. They look up to you! I am 110% sure that you are up to thechallenge. Expectations are high in our fifth grade classroom. The keyto our success is RESPECT. Respect to other students, teachers, theprincipal, parents and all others is expected at all times.Fifth grade is a year full of changes, preparation, fun, and excitement.Working together with open lines of communication will help ussucceed. I will provide more information about the year at our parentorientation night which will be coming up shortly. PLEASE WATCHFOR THE DATE to come home.
