We are going to cover these four areas today. Why did we launch informatica university onDemand because it is a large bet the company is making in a brand new revenue channel.What is it and how does it look and Thelma and Sathya will help me with those parts. We will also look at customers that are realizing value today and there is a call to action on this slideAnd finally we will talk about why Informatica University and what the key differentiators are.
The first thing people ask is why did we put this together and we talked to analysts as well as our customers and we are hearing three common challenges and the first has to do with declining budgets and the concept of being asked to do more with less so the impact is there is less money for training, there is less money to travel to training and because people have to do more with less there managers find it hard to release their teams into training for 4 to 5 days at a time and there are a number of points to support that trend.
As we continued to do our research and look for common themes the next area we heard was that customers are really asking and demanding that we help them not only decrease the risk of their implementation but also continue to provide offerings that drive customer success as well. Now that quote at the bottom comes in a variety of research and comes from a variety of customers.
Now if we look at the third challenge it really comes down to the learner being able to control when and where they can learn, continuing to go back and revisit material so they can Practice and Perfect their skills and essentially control their own time.
So we asked ourselves a simple question. How are we going to deliver the classroom to our customer.
