Goals for This Session <ul><li>To share with you how you can jumpstart your college career by developing diversity awareness and appreciation . </li></ul><ul><li>To help you gain an increased understanding of privilege , oppression & stereotyping . </li></ul><ul><li>To share with you ways that you can work for social justice . </li></ul><ul><li>To share with you how the Multicultural Center can be a resource for you during your time at Ohio State and beyond. </li></ul>

Your Challenge – What Will You Need? <ul><li>In order to succeed at OSU and beyond, you will need to: </li></ul><ul><li>Decide what kind of person you want to become </li></ul><ul><li>Work effectively with others on group projects </li></ul><ul><li>Get along well with people on your floor </li></ul><ul><li>Prepare yourself to live and work in an increasingly interconnected, global world </li></ul><ul><li>In order to do all of that, you will need to develop diversity awareness and appreciation ! </li></ul>

Top 3 Things to Do This Quarter! <ul><li>Register to take a service-learning or diversity-related class in winter ! </li></ul><ul><li>Attend at least one MCC-sponsored event and bring a friend! </li></ul><ul><li>Make a point to attend at least one other diversity-themed FYSS session! </li></ul>
