  • I am the founder of an anti trafficking organization HopeNow situated in Copenhagen Denmark. We would very much like for new tactics to consider setting up a forum with HopeNow ( Violation of human rights of trafficked persons and persons exploited into forced labour.)and ways to remedy this including prosecution of traffickers. We expereince a large gap between theory and practice particularly when it comes to law enforecement as many victims are still criminalized although there have been some improvements in the last years. This is because often but not always they are regarded as illegal immigrants, working illegaly and also coming into the country often with false papers that they were forced to carry by their traffickers.Human trafficking is a multidimensional ,multi complex area. We would be interested in having Anne Brandt Christensen a lawyer who teaches about global human trafficking and human rights and also is a practicing lawyer on a panel at some point in the future when and if she has time. HopeNow has met and discussed these isssues with N.G.O.s ,lawyers, judges, police investigators,G.O.s etc. also recently our lawyer who is a barrister attended a legal forum -conference.with me in London exploring changes in law to protect victims of trafficking and also to bring traffickers to justice. Could we at some point in the future consider including this topic in an on line discussion. How is this set up.? Do the persons on the present panel have any comments?
