    1. 1. Preliminary Notes on the Utility of Projective Tests in a Socio-Psychological Study: Experiences from a Davaonon Muslim Community(Ma. Trinidad Crisanto & Natividad Dayan)
    2. 2. Objectives of the Study ~ to get a sociological pictures of the barrio~ modal description of the 35 family heads of the Davaonon Muslims using three projective tests~the use of Projective tests was an exploratory action ~ were the result of the afterthought and curiosity of the researchers.
    3. 3. Significance of the Study The study tried to establish consistency with the findings of the socio-anthropologicalimpressions gathered from the field with the field study.
    4. 4. Locale and Subjects of the Study Sirawan, oldest barrio, which was composed of 250 families then. The inhabitants were Joloanos, pure Maguindanaons, Maranaos and other Davaoenos.  The 35 family heads (aged 27-55) belong to the original Davaonon fishermen. The study was conducted in September 1979.
    5. 5. Research Design & Procedure Participant observation techniques (informal conversations evolved into Structured interviews)  Whole-day visits during the early part of the year for the interviews while tests were conducted in the late mornings and early afternoons
    6. 6. Research Instruments Used
    7. 7. Limitations & Observations on the Research The researchers found no problem with the PTAT and the Sack’s Sentence Completion Test  But found mild problem with the interpretation of the Rorschach since most of the field researchers were not trained in the interpretation of the Rorschach.
