Being Green Is A Popular Song By Joe Raposo
Being green is a popular song written by Joe Raposo, originally performed by Jim Henson as Kermit
the Frog on Sesame Street and The Muppet Show. In the Muppets version, Kermit begins by
complaining his green coloration, shows that the green color is blending woith the other colors and
have its own color presentation. In the end of the song, Kermit refers positive associations with the
color green, and concluded it by embracing and accepting his live for the green color. The signature
line of the songs is still present in most of the cultures in these times. It is like a phrase that has since
appeared in most of the situations in their working and pop cultures. It is most of the times quoted as
expression of melancholy over the life of the one. The song has a link with questions of identity and
individuality, but also has a strong collaboration with the themes of celebration and self–love of
diversity, especially in the color senses, that was the main social aspect in the culture of America at
the point of the debuting of songs. With the passage of times, as green has been used as more
famous color, the references to the concept of the environmentalism, counterstatement or its phases
are most of the times used in the same context as well.
Kemit showed his mixed feelings about his color, stating that green blends in with many other
common things and he wished that he could have some other color. In middle, Kermit realized that
green color has some powerful association like

Critical Analysis Of Their Eyes Were Watching God
Brian Sandoval 11/11/17
Mr. Amoroso AP Literature Their Eyes Were Watching God LAP Topic 4 To find the elusive and
coveted treasure of love, a dauntless expedition is untaken into life's catacombs, scouring through
the tunnels and evading the traps that lurk in the shadowy corners. This journey can't be completed
without sorrow and suffering yet the marring of the soul from the journey can break a person's
resolve, ultimately believing that the treasure they once sought was merely a fable. Due to being
caught in the trap of despair and hopelessness, survivors mold a chitin from the pain endured in
order to shield themselves' from additional pain, often reluctant to peer their head out of their
protective ward. At the same time, by hiding in the confines of a cocoon, they are unable to view the
opportunity and take the plunge once more that may finally reward their sacrifice. Janie May
Crawford, the protagonist of Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston, in her youth
and inexperience goes through many trials and tribulations in the search of love and what it truly is.
Janie paints a beautiful and naïve image of love as her dreams and hopes blind her from reality. The
experience garnered from her relationships with her three spouses, the illusion of her youth is swept,
remolding her painting into its true form. Janie, a young woman, began to dwell on thoughts of love
and marriage as these new curiosities blossomed within her and spent her free

Summary : ' Kindred Story '
Kindred Epilogue Rewrite As I ripped by arm from its plaster prison, I began to feel that strangely
familiar sensation, the dizziness. No, it must have been from the pain. I must be delusional. I
couldn't be going back. It wasn't possible. Rufus was dead. He was dead! I had seen him die with
my own two eyes. I had killed him with my own two hands. I couldn't be going back! He was dead!
I came to and looked around at the eerily familiar landscape, but something was missing. The house.
It was gone. I slowly walked towards the plantation that I had visited so many times before, and as I
grew closer and closer, I saw something peculiar. What was a rock doing in the middle of an empty
field? The field was empty except for a single tree, which ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Poor, sweet Carrie had predicted this. Why hadn't I listened? A single tear streamed down Carrie's
face. Where was Nigel? I looked slightly to the left, and I saw him. His shirt was badly torn, and
bright red blood was running down his back. Not only was he injured, but he was also handcuffed.
No. Was he being charged for the murder of Rufus? He couldn't be, this was my fault. I had to do
something. I began to take a step, and as my foot hit the ground, I heard the snap of a branch, and
Joe fell into my arms. He seemed to have fallen from the tree, and I immediately realized that it had
been Joe who previously asked about my arm. "Joe, what are you doing here?" "Nothin'. I'm just
watchin'. What's goin' on Dana?" he answered calmly. "Everything's fine Joe," I replied through
tears, "Maybe you should go back inside." "Why are you lying to me? If everything was fine, you
wouldn't be crying." If I offered to walk him back to his house, he might be willing to go inside.
"Let's go Joe," I muttered as I took his hand. I began to walk towards the front door, when I heard a
shout. "Hey! We missed one. Where do you think you're goin'? Get back here!" I hadn't thought this
through. I should've stayed hidden. I ran and ran until I clumsily tripped over the branch that had
fallen from the tree. I fell to the ground, and my vision became blurry. I was going home. My
eyelids fluttered open, and I stared into Kevin's beautiful, pale eyes. "How long was I gone this
time?"

No, it must have been from the pain. I must be delusional. I couldn't be going back. It wasn't possible. Rufus was dead. He was dead! I had seen him die with my own two eyes. I had killed him with my own two hands. I couldn't be going back! He was dead! I came to and looked around at the eerily familiar landscape, but something was missing. The house. It was gone. I began to take a step, and as my foot hit the ground, I heard the snap of a branch, and Joe fell into my arms. He seemed to have fallen from the tree, and I immediately realized that it had been Joe who previously asked about my arm. "Joe, what are you doing here?" "Nothin'. I'm just watchin'. What's goin' on Dana?" he answered calmly. "Everything's fine Joe," I replied through tears, "Maybe you should go back inside." "Why are you lying to me? If everything was fine, you wouldn't be crying." If I offered to walk him back to his house, he might be willing to go inside. "Let's go Joe," I muttered as I took his hand. I began to walk towards the front door, when I heard a shout. "Hey! We missed one. Where do you think you're goin'? Get back here!" I hadn't thought this through. I should've stayed hidden. I ran and ran until I clumsily tripped over the branch that had fallen from the tree. I fell to the ground, and my vision became blurry. I was going home. • 7. Observation Report On Coaching Observation Intro For the coaching observation project I observed the head coach of the Ohio State Buckeyes, Urban Meyer. I watched him on TV when Ohio State played Penn State. The reason I selected Urban Meyer to do my coaching observation is because he is the coach I decided to model my coaching philosophy after. The reason I chose this game specifically is because this is a very important game and I want to see how he handles his team in high–pressure situations. Review 1. Coaching style used or observed A coaching style is the specific way a coach leads his team. The coaching style Urban Meyer used was a laissez–faire type coach. A laissez–faire type coached is defined as a leader who makes as few decisions as possible. During the weeks prior ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... His non–verbal communication was just his facial expressions that his players and assistant coaches can see. His team was losing for most of the game and you could tell he was not happy. Penn State returned the opening kick off and he looked disappointed, but he kind of kept his composure. Later in the 2nd quarter during another kick return that was returned pretty far by Penn State his anger was a little more visible as he was yelling and appeared very angry. Later once Ohio State started to play better you could see his attitude change and he got happier. I'm not sure if his negative attitude made his team play worse, it is just something to think about whenever I am a head coach. 3. Reinforcement techniques Reinforcement techniques are used to increase or decrease a behavior. During a game, especially on the stage that Urban Meyer is coaching, it is important for his players to play well. Some techniques that Urban Meyer used to reinforce his players during the game I observed were negative discipline. His special teams were struggling a lot, especially his kickoff team. They were playing so bad that he decided to remove multiple players from it and add starters from other positions onto the kick–off team to try and have better success. This shows that if you want to play, you have to perform. 4. Motivation techniques Motivation techniques are how a coach ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Most new articles, blogs and opinions written imply that Paterno put himself and the football program ahead of the welfare of children lives. For example, in an article published July 14, 2012 it was reported that when Joe Paterno learned that prosecutors were investigating Sandusky (January 2011), he began to negotiate to amend his contract with his superiors. His contract was not set to expire until the end of 2011 (Rohan, 2012). Since Paterno's death, his family, lawyers and publicists are actively and aggressively protecting his legacy, by filing lawsuits. They do not believe Freeh's conclusions that Paterno and other top university officials protected Sandusky to "avoid the consequences of bad publicity" for the university, its football program and the coach's reputation. Another illustration of Paterno's power is when he convinced Athletic Director Tim Curley not to report Sandusky to child welfare authorities and handle the matter internally after Wide Receivers Coach/Recruiting Coordinator Mike McQueary witnessed an incident in 2001 (Nadkarni, 2012). • 13. Assumptions In The Film Atonement By Joe Wright Assumptions are necessary for us to function as humans, if we did not make assumptions we would have died out as a species long ago. In the film "Atonement", director Joe Wright tells the story of a young Briony who has chosen to tell a terrible lie, one that will forever disconnect her from her sister, her happiness, and herself. This text begs the question of assumptions; why we need to understand them, why we need to know when to admit they are wrong, and why we need to be able to accept the consequences of them. The topic and overall meaning that this idea holds conveys a message that resonates with the idea that assumptions are sometimes a major factor in how individuals go about taking responsibility for themselves. Until an individual can take responsibility for the actions resulting from their own assumed reality, their attempts to take responsibility for themselves will ultimately fail. If an individual's assumption is forced to fit into reality, that may give them the obligation and personal responsibility to reshape reality to fit their assumptions. As a thirteen year–old Briony was a very curious girl, but she was interested more specifically in the nature of adults. There is a scene that Briony observes, where Cecilia and Robbie are arguing next to a fountain, and then Cecilia jumps into the fountain as Robbie watches. Although Briony watches the events out of curiosity, she does not grasp the understanding of why the adults act the way they do, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 17. Global Environmental Activism And Environmental... Global Environmental Activism Vice President Joe Biden once said, "No fundamental social change occurs merely because government acts. It 's because civil society, the conscience of a country, begins to rise up and demand – demand – demand change." For society to rise up and demand change like Joe Biden is talking about there are ways to better understand what change needs to happen and how to put that change into motion, especially with environmental sustainability. First there must be an understanding of what ecological crises are and how they are negative affecting the earth while exploring how sustainability can help with these crises. Then to better understand sustainability one can explore sustainable practices around the world through case studies and even local practices of sustainability. However one must understand the thought process behind sustainability and how to make that work in favor of making change. This includes both the Dominant Social Paradigm and the New Ecological Paradigm and how they both can be used to facilitate change. Once there is an understanding of the problem and a plan to fix it then the action must take place. While action can take many different forms, for many people it is structured as environmental activism. To further study environmental activism once can use organizations such as 350.org, Fossil Free, and The People 's Climate Movement to study how they are organized, their strategies, who is involved, and how successful ... People with racist views can view others from other groups as people who are lesser than them and might use physically actions to show their dislike. In response to that, more and more people are having their own ideas of how to identify and end racism. For example, Kwame Anthony Appiah who brought out the idea of extrinsic racism, the perspective of utilitarianism, and the Kantian ethic are views that show why racism is wrong and how it can be ended. Kwame Anthony Appiah who wrote "Racisms", believes that extrinsic racism is when people has a belief that different races are different genetically and that results in different treatments. "members of different races differ in respects that warrant the differential treatment, respects, –such as honesty or courage or intelligence – that are controversially held (held at least in most contemporary cultures) to be acceptable as basis for treating people differently." (p.691) This is morally wrong to Appiah because it is not true at all. Humans are humans, even if there are different races, the genes that contributes to race does not set different races' intelligence and moral standards, it is the teaching and environment that shapes the people. All the way through his piece, Obama focuses on connecting himself to Americans. However, Barack Obama was a US Senate candidate for the United States president, and in making this speech, uses this connection to raise his reputation rather than to simply amuse the audience. Throughout "The Audacity of Hope" speech, Barack Obama implements three main devices to raise his political popularity: abstract language, repetition, and structure. Part of "The Audacity of Hope" is Obama's use of abstract words, which help to associate the piece to everyone's individual view of these words. In other words, since abstract words have no explicit definitions, the words fit to the person who defines them. Obama states, "John Kerry believes in the Constitutional freedoms that have made our country the envy of the world, and he will never sacrifice our basic liberties, nor use faith as a wedge to divide us." In this sentence, Obama uses the words "freedoms", "sacrifice", "liberties", and "faith" to describe John Kerry and what he does. By using these abstract words, Obama creates a perfect American image, one that stands for everything America stands for. This is powerful. By comparing a person to a highly symbolic figure, such as the United States, Obama invokes high emotions among the audience, or the pathos of the piece, which he then puts onto ... • 45. The Impact Of Transgenders In The Military One of the big questions lurking in the United States is if transgenders can serve in the military. As of right now they are temporarily not allowing transgenders into the military. If they were to allow them there would be many things that they would have to look at. There is things like where would they live to how would be treated. They would have to decide what they would want to do with the ones currently serving. There's just many factors to look at when trying to decide when something like transgenders are becoming so popular in a society like ours today. It all started in 2016 when Barack Obama let transgenders to enroll in the military. Before this time there wasn't any problem with transgender because it just started to become a thing in 2016. Barack Obama signed a policy in 2014 that banned people who were openly gay, lesbian, and bisexuals from being in the military. There was never anything about transgenders. In 2015 things began to change, they now made it so that transgenders could serve. Joe Biden put his input in on what he thought about the situation. He argued that they should be able to serve. He said in a conference that he didn't want to anger anyone currently serving that is transgender. A study was made to see how big of an impact that transgenders would have on the military. They made the prediction that they would cost little and have no significant impact on unit readiness. In 2016 they made it so that transgenders would no longer be separated ... • 47. The American Dream Essay The American Dream. It is the determination of the CEO, the dedication of the teacher, the will of the soldier. The dream tells us that anything can happen, that you can be anything, that capitalism and hard work are the keys to success. But is is it still within reach? Yes. The American dream is still available to anyone hoping to pluck it from the highest shelf. It can still be achieved. Albeit a bit harder than fifty years ago, the American Dream is not something physical, it's a dream, a wish, an ideal. The American Dream is what you make of it and nobody is guaranteed anything. The Dream is available to all Americans provided they work hard enough. The biggest obstacle we face is ourselves and making the dream beyond our means to obtain. The dream has; and will hold through the toughest of times. The American Dream is available to any American willing to work hard. As George W. Bush put it; "Free market capitalism is far more than an economic theory. It is the engine of social mobility–the highway to the American Dream". Dreams. They are in your mind. They are not set. They are open for interpretation. Dreams are just that; dreams. America's view of the dream has become clouded. According to Jacinto Chang, a journalist born to Taiwanese immigrants, the dream is based purely on the individual; "The Dream may seem unattainable, but in truth, the issue isn't the Dream itself – it's the definition an individual gives the American Dream" (Chang, 2014). On the road to success, passion and striving to get better is often a major method with which one can get better. Modeled after Field of Dreams, Shoeless Joe, by W.P. Kinsella, is a book where the main character, Ray, strives forward and advances to reach moral happiness and success. Personally, I liked the book, as like me, Ray exhibits a desire to win, and a desire to succeed, which is unmatched helping him drive forward in life. Personally, I enjoyed Shoeless Joe, due to its fascinating display of great symbols and meaning, as well as its overall message. I liked how the book started talking about a memory Ray had with his dad about Shoeless Joe himself. At the end of the book, they go back to that memory, and it is a nice way to tie the book together. Another aspect that I enjoyed was how Ray fought through a gigantic economic issue. Ray could not pay off his mortgage, which was a horrible situation, however he kept striving and improving to build the field, to reach his goal. At this point in the novel, it does truly get emotional and sad. Knowing that he could only pay off his mortgage for so much more time, considering what he did, is so amazing. Baseball and the religious connections that Ray has with baseball forces him to say, "A ballpark at night is more like a church than a church" (Kinsella 160). ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Yet the questions remains as to what truly drives voters to go to the polls every four years. Coal has been seen as a main source of energy in multiple states such as Kentucky, West Virginia and Pennsylvania. My great uncle currently works at a factory where he is only limited to do certain aspects of his job due to recent EPA regulations restricting what the factory can do due to the factory producing chemicals within the air that is harmful to the environment. Presidential candidate Donald Trump has a plan to combat these unnecessary EPA regulations stated within the following quote "The current Administration, and particularly its EPA, seems not to care. Its Clean Power Plan – the centerpiece of the President's war on coal – has been stayed by the Supreme Court. We will do away with it altogether." Donald Trump and the Republican Party understands that the effort to protect the environment has gone too far with extreme measures as he states in this quote "We will end the war on coal and the war on miners." • 55. Vegan Cinderella Analysis "Vegan Cinderella" Description In the Netflix original, Easy. Entitled "Vegan Cinderella" by Joe Swanberg, we see an honest and visceral depiction of modern young love. There are moments in our relationships when we lie to our significant others, maybe even change a little bit of ourselves for them. In this episode, we see a cast of mostly young twenty–something–year–old lesbian females and follow the two main characters through the first few days of a budding romance. We hear many awkward conversations between the two women about veganism and there is a great sense of realism within the story and the characters. You feel like these women could be any one of your friends, almost as if you are also there with the characters. I think everyone at some point in their life has tried to change themselves because they thought it is necessary in order for the other person to like them. In this episode, we see Chase try to impress Jo by changing who she is in order to impress her which is something we all can relate to. Joe Swanberg is known for his indie films and shooting on 16mm and 35mm film. He also does not write scripts but writes a one–page outline where he has the characters use improvisation to fill in the blanks. He focuses on naturalism and has little use for doing more than one or two takes. His on–set brevity allows for his films to be shot over the course of just a few weeks which helps to keep production costs down (Zakarin). The style or genre of this film is ... The name of Hard Rock is based on a hard nut to crack because he was the only one inmate who never submitted and gave a lot of troubles to officers. The Hard Rock was treated really badly and punished as warning to other inmates in the hospital. Why he was treated so badly is because not only he never submitted to officers; there might be that he was a black person. While the Hard Rock was treated badly, other inmates were very submissive to officers because they did not want to be treated in the same way as Hard Rock. He was forced under the strong power in the oppressive community, yet he had the power of perseverance and was very strong; hence, his attitude has not changed through the poem. The Hard Rock was a hero for other inmates because he was very strong, against the authority, and brought hope to other inmates in the poem "Hard Rock Returns to Prison" by Etheridge Knight. In 2008 's presidential election, this was a popular question Americans asked of the candidates to gage their likeability. The person who often found himself on the top of those polls was Joe Biden. A man known for his down–to–earth attitude, Vice President Biden has had much talk surrounding him in recent weeks about whether he will run for president. With Hillary Clinton as the clear Democratic frontrunner, many believe it would throw a whole different dynamic into the race if Biden ran – not only is he the guy that you would want to have a beer with or the current person next in line to the presidency, but he also has also experienced recent personal struggles with the death of his son, Beau. With all these story angles to take, the media has been taken various approaches to following Biden 's potential campaign. Each platform presents the story in a different way, as well, and it is interesting to see the variance of coverage that traditional T.V., traditional print and evolving media have between each other. When Biden announced that his family would help determine whether or not he runs, the TODAY Show led with the "breaking overnight" news. The news was introduced by Andrea Mitchell, TODAY's chief foreign affairs correspondent, and then the clip of Biden actually saying the words was played. "Cinderella Man" Braddock, a supposedly washed–up boxer who came back to become a champion and inspiration that represented the hopes and aspirations of the American public in the 1930s. Despite the conditions Braddock and his family were forced to live through during this difficult time, Braddock's love and devotion to his family fueled his desire to keep his family together. Tax System In 1990, the IRS commissioned a comprehensive nationwide survey of taxpayers to obtain their overall perception of its administration of the U.S. tax system. NPM related questions from this survey were re–asked to taxpayers to determine any potential changes in response patterns (VanDenburgh 2004, 2). Several questions were re–asked to allow for an assessment of differences between the 1990 responses and the 2004 responses during research by William M. VanDenburgh (2004). The concept of logic of action, which derives from institutional theory, is valuable to understanding why the IRS case is not aberrant and why there exists an implicit tension between merit ideals and the performance paradigm (Thompson 2006, 498). Patterns of behavior derive from institutional rules that create incentives to act in one way or another. They also derive from norms that have arisen over time that govern what behaviors are considered "appropriate." Important for the purpose of this argument is the existence of an underlying logic according to which behavioral patterns, incentives, and norms are interlocked (Thompson 2006, 498). Adoption of a new NPM requires an agency organizational structure to become more competitive and business–like. In other words, a private market focus is to be incorporated in the organization. The IRS was heavily criticized because auditors forcefully went after non–filers when some IRS employees themselves were not filing tax returns (VanDenburgh 2004, 91). Due to ... Rawlinson saw many flaws that were occurring in the Aqualisa company and is working to overcome those issues. Quartz has two different value propositions for their two customer sections, the plumbers and the actual customers using the products. For the plumbers Aqualisa needs to provide good service, easy to find in case they want to buy more, and easy to install. . It would also mean that since they get paid the same amount of money for each of the installations, they could potentially get up to four times as much profit since they will have more time. For customers using the shower, their value proposition would be a shower that would fix: water pressure, temperature fluctuations, easier to use with more technology, as well as much easier to install since they don't have to have a plumber in their house breaking everything for two days.
