  2. 2. Discussion Board 1. Login to Blackboard. You will need your username and password from your Confirmation of Registration. 2. Select “Discussion” from the left side menu. There will be a whole list of discussion on that page. 3. Select the assigned discussion. Today is “Discussion #1” 4. Using Blackboard Watch video tutorial.  Discussion Board  Content  Email
  3. 3. Discussion Board #1 For the first discussion forum for the course, explore why you have decided to take this course. What do you hope to get out of the experience? What do you want to learn? In what ways do you want to be shaped or changed? This response should be around 300 words. At the end of your posting, ask 1-2 questions that can be answered by your peers. We will take until 9:30 for you to get started on this task. Later we will type them in the computer lab into a discussion forum on Blackboard. Your audience is your instructor and your class peers. You will be expected to respond to a question from at least 3 postings and answer those who respond to your posting.

Homework Post your discussion board entry, respond to two peers’ questions, and respond to those that post to your discussion thread. Write three goals for the course and how you plan to attain them. (This is related to your first reflection writing. It can be handwritten or typed.) Begin reading chapter 2 (Chapters 1, 2 & 4 need read by the end of the week)

Attach a .doc file in the following format:  Yourlastname-reflection1.doc  Reading for next week:  Monday—chapter 5  Tuesday—chapter 6  Wednesday—chapter 7 (Each should be read prior to class next week.)
  12. 12. Reflection #1  Submit your 2 SMART goal statements.  Discuss one or more of the “Achieving Potential and Increasing Motivation” points that are relevant to you. Explain how the point relates to you and discuss what you plan to do to increase your motivation in order to achieve your potential.  Write three positive statements about yourself!
