  • How did UKSP come about? UKSP was born out of the biggest piece of research carried out by our sector. People 1 st worked with employers within HLTT to identify the issues facing our industries and its’ struggles. Four main areas of weakness were identified: 1/ Poor retention 2/ poor customer service 3/ Poor management and leadership skills 4/ lack of chefs skills. It was decided that an online single communication channel was needed to host all relevant information for individuals and companies to progress within the industries. Who is it aimed at? Students, employees, employers and those individuals new to the sector. What is UKSP? UKSP is an online resource delivering information such as: Information on Qualifications and courses Information on Job Roles The good companies to work for Job Vacancies Funding advice Latest News Discounts and benefits

  • Good Employer Guide: This guide highlights those companies that are committed to the standards of being a Good Employer within our sector. The Good Employer Guide provides the opportunity for the employer and employees to rate their company and recognise areas of strength and areas for development. Once an employer has signed up to the guide they can encourage their employees to go online, register and rate too. This will help highlight to the employer the strengths and areas for improvement.
