  2. 2. Land and Climate<br />Nevada is the driest state in the country, this means there are deserts. Nevada gets only about 9 inches of rain a year. The Humbolt River is the largest river in the state.<br />
  3. 3. Resources and Industry<br />Ranches and farms occupy about 1 eighth of Nevada. Nevada produces gold and silver. There are about 3,000 ranches and farms in the state.<br />
  4. 4. Historical Things<br />Hoover Dam took 5 years to make and used 7 million tons of concrete to build. They started building Hoover Dam in 1931 and finished in 1936.<br />
  5. 5. Famous Sites<br />Great Basin National park is in east central Nevada and it covers almost the whole state. Las Vegas casinos are a huge tourist attraction.<br />
  6. 6. Important Cities<br />Las Vegas is the most visited city in Nevada. People go to Las Vegas to gamble. Reno is the 2nd Largest city in Nevada.<br />
  7. 7. Wow Facts<br />Nevada got its name from a Spanish word that means snow covered. The highest point in Nevada is Boundary Peak it is 13,140 feet tall.<br />
  8. 8. Summary<br />There are so many things to do in Nevada they include gambling , Shows , Skiing , Hotels and restaurants. There is Hoover Dam and Great Basin national park.<br />
