The running of the workshop The researcher performed at least three passes of coding. The first pass concerns with the development of a set of descriptive codes. The outcome of the first pass is the initial set of codes and concepts about KM storytelling in the organization and KM story construction. The second pass concerns with the categorization of data and the third pass concerns with the identification of patterns. It is important to note that in each pass, the codes are refined or renamed to appropriately and accurately reflect the chunk of text. This is because as the transcripts are read in each pass, the researcher takes into account the context in which the statement was made

Development of a Knowledge Story Construction Framework
DEVELOPMENT OF AKNOWLEDGE STORYCONSTRUCTIONFRAMEWORK
Introduction• Storytelling is one of the ways in capturing and transferring knowledge.• The problem is that it is rarely explored academically and underrated in the real world.• Stories are a form of narrative (Gabriel, 2000;Sole, 2002) but not all narrative is good knowledge sharing stories (Sole, 2002;Ruggles, 2002).• To address the issues there is a need to establish a framework that guides organisations in producing a organisation story that is knowledge worthy.
Introduction• The aim is to understand how a knowledge story is constructed.• This paper presents the development of a framework to construct knowledge story.• The purpose of this framework is to guide KM personnel on the construction of knowledge stories.
Knowledge storytellingapplication• TellStory (Santoro & Brezillon, 2005) o Stories are construct in groups. o Story construction in two ways: (1)Informally and comments (2) Context Framework (structure)• StoryMapper (Costa et al, 2004) o Group storytelling o Using conceptual maps. (structure) o Template - a node in the map.• The Well (Katzef & Ware, 2006) o Capture single stories o No control
Knowledge story constructionworkshop• To understand how knowledge story is constructed.• 16 participants divided into 5 groups of 2-4 people in 5 different sessions.• The interview sessions were video recorded and transcribed• Data were qualitatively analyzed using NVivo.

Conclusion The framework was developed using qualitative techniques to guide the construction of a knowledge story. Knowledge stories are build in phases within a collective effort. The framework could be in an integral part in the development of a KM storytelling application.
