Multi-screen Strategies that Pay: TrueVisions Case Study
Meeting customer appetite for multi-screen video is an absolute requirement in today’s Asian competitive environment. But what are the right business and technology strategies that will attract new subscribers, retain existing ones and generate revenue.
TrueVisions, Thailand’s largest cable and satellite television provider, has been introducing new service enhancements to defend its territory against potential cord-cutters. Its latest launch, TrueVisions Anywhere, is a multi-screen service that enables customers to view content on any mobile device and to personalize their experience with functions including two-hour time-shift, two-day catch-up and on-demand access.
TrueVisions and its partner ecosystem - Verimatrix, Elemental Technologies, Dolby and Conversant - had a unique story to tell on how and why they built this service, plus lessons learned along the way. Strategies for longer-term planning, including network virtualization, support of secure ultra HD/4K video delivery, big data analytics and HEVC, were discussed during the event.
