Teacher Centers and their associated BOCES partners have been quite busy over the years working to bring the most effective programs into the classrooms of the districts and teachers we serve. We are proud of the associations and programs listed on this document and want to make every effort to inform you of the opportunities to implement them in your schools. Historically, Teacher Centers have been one of the most cost effective and reliable providers of quality professional development in the state. Our programs have earned the support of the NYS Education Department, NYSUT and the UFT. Working with organizations and companies like Intel, Verizon, Microsoft, Smart, Promethean, SAFARI Montage, Elluminate, Adobe, SAS, Garfield Foundation, Rapid Media, Apple and numerous museums and libraries, we have leveraged millions of dollars into educational resources and training throughout NYS. Teacher Centers are charged with bringing these exciting resources to our constituents, in response to teacher driven requests. If you have not taken advantage of these opportunities in the past, we think now is the perfect time to take a closer look. Tight budgets, impending cuts, increased mandates and the need to improve the instruction we deliver to students, all place Teacher Centers in the forefront of professional development providers. Teacher Centers provide high quality, state-of-the-art professional development and resources to our educators at no cost! Key in all of this is the fact that our partners have identified NYS Teacher Centers and NYIT as the provider to rollout training around these initiatives. They recognized our ability to reach teachers and understand our commitment to quality in both product and training. Please contact your Teacher Center for a list of Certified NY Trainers. We are proud of the confidence our partners have in us and we work hard to insure you receive the most up-to-date, standards-based programs delivered by qualified trainers. We hope you will give serious consideration to our programs and look forward to speaking with you about how we can implement them in your building.
