  2. 2. What is a friendly letter?<br />A friendly letter is written to share news about events in life, and ask questions to the person the letter is being written to.<br />
  3. 3. Who do you write friendly letters to?<br />Parents<br />Family members <br />Friends<br />Pen pals<br />Authors or illustrators<br />
  4. 4. you may write a friendly letter to:<br />Your mom, dad, brother sister<br />Other family member<br />A pen pal from another class<br />A guest speaker who has visited the class/school<br />An author or illustrator of a book that you have read<br />And many other people too!<br />

  7. 7. Return address<br />The address of the letter writer (your address).<br />
  8. 8. Greeting<br />This part of the letter says hello and includes the name of the person you are writing to. Include a comma after the greeting.<br />
  9. 9. body<br /> This is where you write the purpose of the letter. Talk and ask questions to the person you are writing to.<br />
  10. 10. Complimentary Closing<br /> This part of the letter says goodbye. Sign your name at the end of the letter.<br />
