REQUIREMENTS FOR CERTIFICATION http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/apps/hh694083.aspx Must provide value Must be more than just an ad Must behave predictably Must put the customer in control Must be for a global audience Must be easily identified and understood Each one of these has lots of details
  5. 5. BREAKING IT DOWN Valuable Reliable Family Friendly or rated *Customer Fucosed*
  6. 6. HOW TO PUBLISH First, reserve your app name. Project>Store>Create app packages Sign in (over and over and over) Make sure you have all appropriate images And then some Screenshot tool with Visual Studio Build for Any CPU (or target) Packages located in binAppPackages
  7. 7. UPDATE THE DETAILS Your app name/description are critical Capabilities are scrutinized (access to filesystem, location, etc.) Notes to Testers – also pretty important Possible rejection (possible repetition)

APPENDIX – MAKING THE GAME If you want to make an HTML5 game, check outConstruct 2 (www.scirra.com) Build an HTML5 game, then “Export to Windows8 application” (it’s that easy) You can customize a template and submit your owncool game to the Windows Marketplace. Oh, and you need to download the tools:http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/desktop/hh852363.aspx
