DIFFERENCESProfessional Non Professional PROFESSIONAL NON-PROFESSIONAL  Undergo proper training and exposure.  Place of work : School, institutions colleges and universities ( Education Faculty).  The salary is fixed by the government.  The syllabus of teaching is provided by the Ministry of Education.  Range number of pupils.  Have pedagogical knowledge and skills.  Subject matter – trained to teach specific subject. × No formal training in teaching. × Place of work : Home and tuition centre. × They have the authorities to put price for their service. × The content of the lesson is based on the client’s needs, however it is still within the shell of the curriculum. × Range number of pupils is more on small numbers of pupils. × No pedagogical knowledge and skills. × Subject matter – Can teach every subjects.
