  2. 2.  Since 1971, Kenneth Goldman has performed as a full-time dealer in rare coins. He holds membership in the Professional Coin Grading Service and in the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation. As a purveyor of rare coins, Kenneth Goldman is interested in many elements of the field, including the highest amounts ever paid for quality pieces.
  3. 3.  The most expensive coin in the world is the 1794 Flowing Hair Silver Dollar. Minted in silver, this piece sold for $10 million, including the buyer's commission, at an auction held at Stack's Bowers Galleries on January 24, 2013. It was included as part of Martin Logies' Cardinal Collection. Legend Numismatics, a New Jersey-based, rare coin firm, paid the record price.
  4. 4.  At over 200 years old, the Flowing Hair Silver Dollar possesses a history going back to the start of America. The first metal dollar minted by the nascent government, it features Miss Liberty surrounded by 13 stars representing the colonies. This mold was only used in 1794 and for a short period in 1795. Although other Flowing Hair Silver Dollars exist, experts commented on the superior quality of the coin sold at auction.
