Efficiency saves Energy Daily life in Masdar City will be more efficient, requiring less energy to run
Personal Rapid Transit Residents of Masdar will travel around the city utilizing a Personal Rapid Transit (PRT) system. This will eliminate the pollution caused by vehicles as well as allow the city to be designed without being inhibited by roads. The system shown was created by Advanced Transportation Systems for Heathrow Airport in London
Water A solar powered desalinization plant will provide Masdar City with all of its water.
Solar Water Heaters Save Energy Solar water heaters keep the standard of living high while keeping energy consumption down. Solar water heaters use a combination of the sun’s heat and photovoltaic cells to heat water. This example is produced by the German company Guersolar.
