THE ARK of the COVENANT The breadth, and length, and depth, and height; YHWHs love is total, says Paul. It reaches every corner of our experience. It is wide—itcovers the breadth of our own experience, and it reaches out to the whole world. YHWHs love is long—it continues the length of our lives. It is high—it rises to the heights of our celebration and elation. His love is deep—it reaches to the depths of discouragement, despair, and even death. When you feel shut out or isolated, remember that you can never be lost to YHWHs love. It is interesting that "height [and] depth" are included in the list of adversaries the believer is called upon to face. To the Greeks "height" was more than just a spatial measurement. It contained the idea of loftiness and eminence; hence, power and authority. The term was used in astrological vocabulary and was related to the popular concept that mans fate was in the "heights" or the stars. Similarly, "depth" not onlyreferred to deep places and things, but also contained the idea of profundity and mystery. Who and who are you Elohims glory and Mans honour O YHWH our Master.How excellent is Your Name in all the earth! Who have set Your glory above the heaven! Out of the mouth of babies and infants you have established strength because of Your adversaries, to still the adversaries and the avenger. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what [is] the mind of the Ruakh, because he maketh intercession for the set apart ones according to [the will of] Elohim ( ‫.)אלהים‬ Kolossaeus 2:18 Let no one beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping heavenly messengers, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, As you grow in your faith, let YHWHs Word be your guide, not the opinions of other people. For the Dvar Elohim [is] living, andactive, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of nefesh and Ruakh, and of the joints and marrow, and able to disern the thoughts and kavanat ha lev (inner intents of the heart). Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in His sight: but all things [are] naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. The Word of YHWH is not simply a collection of words from YHWH, a vehicle for communicating ideas; it is living, life-changing, and dynamic as it works in us. With theincisiveness of a surgeons knife, YHWHs Word reveals who we are and what we are not. It penetrates the core of our moral and spiritual life. It discerns what is within us, both good and evil. The demands of YHWHs Word require decisions. We must not only listen to the Word; we must also let it shape our lives. Finally what will you do on this shabbat when the door closes Ezra Nechemyah 13:17 Then I contended with the nobles of Yehudah, and said unto them, What evil thing [is]this that ye do, and profane the Yom Shabbat? Did not your fathers thus, and did not our Elohim ( ‫ )אלהים‬bring all this evil upon us, and upon this city? yet ye bring more wrathupon Yisrael by profaning the Shabbat. And it came to pass, that when the shaar ( ‫ )שע‬of Yerushalayim ( ‫ )ירושלם‬began to be dark before the Shabbat, I commanded that the shaar ( ‫ )שע‬should be shut, and charged that they should not be opened till after the Shabbat: and [some] of my eved set I at the shaar ( ‫,)שע‬ [that] there should no burden be brought in on the Yom Shabbat.
