  2. 2. DESCRIPTION OFREGION The plains people lived in a region that was made up of dry prairies and hills. The Great Plains is on the east side of the Rocky Mountains
  3. 3. TRIBES Soiux, Cheyenne, Crow Blackfeet, Comanche, Pawnee and the Lakota
  4. 4. SHELTER The Lakota lived in teepees Tepees are buffalo hide tents that were cone shaped The Lakota traveled from place to place. The shape of the teepee made it easier to carry.
  5. 5. FOOD SOURCES The Lakota ate buffalo berries cherries and wild greens The Lakota used every part of the buffalo the used the intestines of the buffalo for carrying water. The buffalo meaty that was not eaten right away was dried and made into jerky.
  6. 6. CLOTHING The Lakota wore buffalo skins they also wore feather head dresses. The Lakota wore moccasins to cover there feet.
