    2. 2. 3G and Mobile Gaming <ul><li>The entire mobile ecosystem eagerly awaits the implementation of 3G and the promise of better, faster network. </li></ul><ul><li>For the Mobile gaming industry 3G spells two main offerings : </li></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>High data transfer rates </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Larger band width </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><li>Both of which are basic requirements for downloading and accessing Quality games [heavier files]. </li></ul><ul><li>Post 3G a user can expect to download games faster and without any interruptions </li></ul><ul><li>At the other end 3G would also generate a renewed interest amongst developer community to develop games which are more engaging and provides better gaming experience to the users. </li></ul><ul><li>For the device manufacturers, to keep up, it would mean introducing devices with higher processing speeds, larger screens, audio and memory. </li></ul><ul><li>With 3G, we expect not just the increase in the number of users but also a significant increase in the time total spent per user on mobile gaming. </li></ul>
