grain of salt tastes equally salty, same with
sugar.
3. Elements
• An element is a substance that cannot be
broken down into simpler substances.
Eventually, you would have something as
tiny as copper atoms.
4. Compounds
• Water is a compound because it has
hydrogen and oxygen. A compound is
made up of two or more simple
substances.
6. Suspensions
• A suspension is a heterogeneous mixture
that separates into layers over time. In a
heterogeneous mixture, the parts are
noticeably different.
