Operation RED to GREEN Elements (Snapshot) 1. Recruitment-Search efforts including, collaboration, advertisements, job fairs, exit data. (Engagement ) 2. Tracking- Monitoring applicants ensuring the engagement is not lost during this period 3. Screening -Evaluating potential applicants for job candidacy / maintain for future recruitment efforts 4. Selection of Candidate(s) - On-going collaboration with hiring managers 5. Clear Candidate(s) 6. Hire/Train (Onboarding) 7. Hire to Retire (Engagement)

Broward County Public Schools 8 Spotlight: Transportation School Opening – 2014 • Aug 4th: Transportation Mailers (post cards) mailed during the week of August 5th • Aug 6th: Annual Transportation liaison information sessions • Aug 13th: Annual training day Bus Operators • Aug 14th: Bus driver “dry-runs” of assigned routes • Aug 15th: Customer Service training • Aug 16-17th: Annual Transportation Open Houses Provided school staff with emergency contact information to assist with questions and concerns

Broward County Public Schools 15 Student Behavior Expectations Referral Form and Procedures • School bus transportation is an extension of the classroom and therefore student behavior expectations are same. • Our primary focus is to provide safe and timely transportation to all Broward County eligible students.

Broward County Public Schools 16 Student Drop off and Pick up Expectations • Students will receive mailers with complete bus transportation information prior to the start of the school year. • Student safety is priority. • Students are expected to arrive to their assigned bus stop 10 minutes prior to schedule pick up window.

Supervisor/Managers Assigned Support Staff (Support Staff are assigned to different task such as Field trips, Incidents, Accidents, Medicaid etc.) School Synopsis, schedule changes, overloads, F.T.E documents BLUE Request for information non emergency Supervisor or Designee (Transportation Specialist) Parent request for eta’s for buses to stops, GREEN you may handle at your level after obtaining the proper information. Broward County Public Schools 24 • Submit trip requests at least 2 weeks in advance • Trip times are between 9:30am and 1:30pm • After-school activities (e.g.: after care, science clubs, etc.) hours are 4:30pm until the event ends • Bus capacity ranges from 65 to 85 passengers • Indicate the need for non-standard equipment – must be part of IEP(i.e.: safety vest, wheelchair, seat belt) EXTRA-CURRICULAR SERVICES
