  5. 5. But when i finall grew up y and left the fantasy world of summer camp. (at age twenty one)
  6. 6. deck tennis ceased to exist.
  7. 7. my friends had never heard of it.
  8. 8. my local sporting goods store didn’t carry deck tennis rings.
  9. 9. google images could onl provide me with postage stamp sized PIcture evidence. y
  10. 10. even wikipedia let me down with a lackluster description.
  11. 11. no wonder the awesome sport of deck tennis is so unknown.
  12. 12. i finall decided to take a stand. y
  13. 13. and revive the sport of deck tennis. starting in little ole’ new york city. (where dreams are made of)
  14. 14. it w time for a camp reunion deck tennis showdown in the park. as
  15. 15. and it w legendary. as
  16. 16. we played. five on five. and introduced central park to the greatest sport mashup of all time.
  17. 17. the intensity of tennis. the team coordination of volleyball. the oddity of badminton.
  18. 18. and the ring. don’t forget the ring.
  19. 19. our court was quickl surrounded by new yorkers y taking pictures and staring in awe of this miraculous new sport.
  20. 20. we basked in our deck tennis glory all afternoon.
  21. 21. and then went home to tell our other friends. (some of my friends are a little older than me)
  22. 22. they had no idea what we were talking about.
  23. 23. BUT DECK TENNIS WILL LIVE ON.
  24. 24. EVEN IF ONL IN THE PICTURES OF THE TOURISTS IN CENTRAL PARK THAT fateful AFTERNOON. Y
