because they are hard" John F. Kennedy. The 35th President of the United States began the Space
Race, the spark of Space exploration. With this new objective came many technological
advancements and many missions to be dealt with. After the events of Project Mercury and the
manned orbital missions of Project Gemini came an even bigger accomplishment, The Apollo
missions. The Apollo Program consisted of a total of 17 missions, some orbital and others moon
landings. Apollo 1 was the first mission, as well as the first manned mission in the Apollo Program.

The objective of this mission was to explore the moon for older and/or younger moon rocks
"Taurus–Littrow highlands and valley area. This site was picked for Apollo 17 as a location where
rocks both older and younger," with the use of "extended hardware capability, larger scientific
payload capacity and by the use of the battery–powered Lunar Roving Vehicle, or LRV." One of the
objectives of the missions was to map the surface of the moon and sample materials found in the
moon. On December 7, 1972 Apollo 17 launched with Commander Eugene A. Cernan, Command
Module Pilot Ronald Evans, and Lunar Module Pilot Harrison, the first scientist astronaut. A three
day trip of just floating through space but they eventually made it. They focused on other task like
"Apollo Lunar Surface Experiments Package, or ALSEP, with a heat flow experiment; lunar seismic
profiling, or LSP; lunar surface gravimeter, or LSG; lunar atmospheric composition experiment, or
LACE; and lunar ejecta and meteorites, or LEAM. The mission also included lunar sampling and
lunar orbital experiments. Biomedical experiments included the Biostack II experiment and the
BIOCORE experiment." (NASA Content Administrator 2011) This Apollo mission was the last
mission launched by NASA and the last time anyone has landed in the moon. The program was
terminated due to NASA not having enough funding since the majority of the people thought the

Satisficing, in turn, is an old Scottish word that defined the desire to find a practical, real–world
solution to a problem – rather than a utopian, optimal solution to a highly simplified (and very
possibly oversimplified) model of that problem. The concept of satisficing, as opposed to
optimization, was introduced by Herbert Simon in 1956. As a consequence of the principle of
satisficing, the "goodness" of any solution to a Goal Programming problem is represented by an
achievement function, rather than an objective function of conventional optimization. The goal
programming achievement function measures the degree of non–achievement of the problem goals.
The specific way in which this non–achievement is measured characterizes the particular subtype of
goal programming approach that is being employed, and may be defined so as to include the
achievement of commensurable as well as non–commensurable goals. It should be emphasized that,
because a goal programming problem is to be satisficed, it is possible that the solution derived may
not fit, conveniently and comfortably, into the concept of optimization or efficiency (I.e. non
dominated solutions) as used by more conventional forms of mathematical modeling. This is

highly successful characters. Throughout his life and his career, he has had many people to aspire to
and to lean on. While working at Marvel, and Timely Comics he has collaborated with many comic
book artists sharing his thoughts and ideas with them, and in because he was successful, he helped
to become an inspiration to people himself. On December 28, 1922, in New York City Stanley
Martin Lieber was born to Celia and Jack Lieber. His father Jack was a Romanian immigrant, and
later Lieber would become an older brother to Larry Lieber. Most of his and Larry's childhood was
spent during the Great Depression and watching their parents fight and argue over money. To help
make ends meet Stan helped out his family by getting various jobs, such as working in a news office
writing obituaries, writing publicity for a hospital, working for a trouser manufacturer, and working

films or the characters would not exist, so they pay tribute to him in this way. He has his own film

five hundred characters for his comics. He also goes to Comic Cons all across the nation and signs
autographs and meets his fans. He legally changed his name from Stanley Martin Lieber to just Stan
Lee (Stan Lee Comic Book Superhero). His wife died on July 6, 2017, at ninety–five years old, and
Lee is currently 95 years old
