5. The Lord (Jesus) commands Jonah to preach to the wicked people of Nineva.
6. Jonah is afraid and doesn’t obey the Lord. He runs away and gets on a boat
heading to Tarshish.
7. The Lord sent a great storm upon the sea. Everyone was afraid
the boat was going to sink! Jonah knew the storm came,
because he disobeyed the Lord. He told the people to throw
him into the sea and the storm would stop.
8. “Now the Lord had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was
in the belly of the fish for three days and three nights.” Jonah 1:17 Jonah
repents and prays to the Lord to get out of the fishs’ belly.
9. The Lord spoke to the fish and the fish spit Jonah out
onto dry land.
10. The Lord commands Jonah to preach to the wicked people of Nineva. Jonah
obeys the Lord. The people of Nineva listen to the words of Jonah and repent.
