Destructive Competitive Difficult to control It aggressively displace and crowd outdesirable plants
Their roots rob their neighboring plants of vitalwater and nutrients They block out needed sunshine They spread invasively and Rapidly
A garden that is neglected will produce weedsrather than fruits and vegetables. Likewise,human nature has a tendency to produceweeds of evil rather than a good fruit.…and those weeds are continuing threat to ourspiritual survival.
God tells us to aggressivelyfight our human nature.
"Because we have these promisesdear friends, let us cleanseourselves from everything thatcan defile our body or spirit. Andlet us work for complete holinessbecause we fear God.”
We must replace bad habitswith good habits or thebad habits will return, likeweeds returning when soilis left bare.
