How Can School Counselors use Technology? <ul><li>Make school websites, guidance programs, and other activities </li></ul><ul><li>Use Word to create documents </li></ul><ul><li>Create Newsletters </li></ul><ul><li>Create spreadsheets to use for charts and graphs </li></ul><ul><li>(Hines, n.d.) </li></ul>

It can be used to: </li></ul><ul><li>-connect with parents </li></ul><ul><li> -connect with staff </li></ul><ul><li> -connect with students </li></ul><ul><li> -save time when needing to contact several people </li></ul><ul><li>(Van Horn & Myrick, 2001) </li></ul>

Power Points <ul><li>Power Points can help to engage your audience using sounds, colors, graphics, and even videos. </li></ul><ul><li>Power Points can help lead to websites using hyperlinks </li></ul><ul><li>Power Points can also be saved onto a drive and can be accessed by anyone who has availability to the drive </li></ul><ul><li>(Van Horn & Myrick, 2001) </li></ul>

School Counselors and Technology <ul><li>Technology can help counselors reach to their audience and can help organize their documents, records, and keep in touch with parents, students, and staff. </li></ul><ul><li>Multimedia offers counselors a way to use preventive programs by getting their attention use abstract ideas. </li></ul><ul><li>(Van Horn & Myrick, 2001) </li></ul>
