2. ¿QUÉ ES ESTO?
 Informal Tú Command: used when speaking to friends, family, or
children.
 Opposite of the formal command.
 Can be affirmative or negative.

3. AFIRMATIVO - ¿CÓMO PUEDO HACER
ESTO?
 First, let‟s look at the afirmativo or „positive‟ informal tú
commands.
 Let‟s take the verb „bailar‟.
 Bailar (infinitive)  Baila (remove the „r‟, or conjugate in the
„él/ella/Usted‟ form)  “¡Baila conmigo!”
 Now let‟s practice with the following verbs…
-Escribir
- Caminar
- Creer
- Beber
- Cantar

4. NEGATIVO- ¿CÓMO PUEDO HACER
ESTO?
 Next, let‟s look at the negative informal tú commands.
 Let‟s take the verb „mirar‟.
 Mirar (infinitive)  Mira (remove the „r‟, or conjugate in the
„él/ella/Usted‟ form)  Mires (use the tú form with the opposite
ending, „ar‟ verbs change to „es‟ and „er/ir‟ verbs change to „as‟)
 “¡No mires!”
 Now let‟s practice with the following verbs…
