SO, WHAT’S A PLN THEN?• PLN stands for Professional Learning Network.• PLN’s have been researched by universities and their findings shared in journals.• It’s about SHARING and CONTRIBUTING your ideas for learning with others.• 24/7 access to support.• Easy, cheap way to get TPL.
OUR SESSIONSOver the four weeks we will cover:Week 3 – Setting Up Your BlogWeek 4 - Posts & PagesWeek 5 – Connecting Through CommentsWeek 6 – Enhancing Posts with Images, Widgets and MediaWeek 7 – Building Readership through Twitter
HOW THEY’LL RUN:• 2:45pm – 3:15pm : Guided Demonstration• 3:15pm-4:00pm – Play Time! You are free to leave at any time after thedemonstration but I will be on hand to help out as you work through the activities.
RESOURCES AND HOMEWORK• I will email you all the resources I have created so that you have a soft copy for any reproduction or in-faculty TPL you may like to do.• I was going to set a couple of mini- activities for you to take home and do. No pressure. Do them if you have time. Mainly commenting and browsing for blogs.
