 import quota is a limit on the quantity of a good that can be
produced abroad and sold domestically.
 Tariffs-A tariff is either a tax on imports or exports in and
out of a country.
 Customs- is an authority or agency in a country responsible
for collecting and safeguarding customs duties and for
controlling the flow of goods including animals, transports,
personal effects and hazardous items in and out of a country.

5. TRADE BARRIERS against China
 The Indian government is considering imposing an anti-
dumping duty of up to US$ 236 per tonne on imports of a
chemical, used in bricks, tiles and ceramics, to protect the
domestic industry from cheap Chinese shipments.
 Orissa which is India’s biggest iron ore producer, has proposed
the ban on 70 percent of its exports on the grounds that its
supporting domestic demand.
