Consumers are turning to scooters as a cheaper
and more agile alternative to cars. U.S. sales rose
nearly 30% in the first half of 2011, while year-
over-year November sales in India jumped 39%.

Hanks, prominently featured the vehicles, and
L.A.’s Petersen Automotive Museum is currently
hosting a show on the history of scooters.

hit the market. One issue will be coexistence
with cyclists and drivers.
