  2. 2. Jose Rizal; A man of bravery and patience.<br />Dr. José Protasio Rizal Mercado y Alonso Realonda was born on June 19, 1861 in Kawit, Cavite. He is known to be a Filipino polymath, patriot and the most prominent advocate for reforms in the Philippines during the Spanish colonial era. <br />

  4. 4. He wrote two books called Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo dedicated to us Filipinos about our life in the Spanish Era.<br />

He is considered as a martyr of the Philippine Revolution.<br />He is also featured as the face on the year 1970 and 2000 1 peso coin.<br />A monument is also dedicated to him placed at the northern end of Roxas Boulevard overlooking Manila Bay in Manila, known as Luneta.<br />
