Isolating or Connecting? Social networking sites are increasingly used to keep up with close social ties. The average user of a social networking site has more close ties and is half as likely to be socially isolated as the average American. Facebook users are more trusting than others. Facebook users have more close relationships. #techmonth @skullsflying

What this means for you Photos make up 50% of News Feed content (and content from Pages makes up almost 30%). Create more visual content – visuals are mandatory. Articles shared will feature larger preview images and a more prominent title and summary. Activity stories (when someone interacts with your Page) will be more prominent so get your Cover Photo and Profile Picture optimized! Updates from third-party apps will be more prominent (Pinterest, Instagram. #techmonth @skullsflying

Facebook Graph Search Very different from Google Search “Find more of what you’re looking for through your friends and connections.” Your privacy choices determine what’s searchable. “With Graph Search, you can look up anything shared with you on Facebook, and others can find stuff youve shared with them, including content set to Public.
