• About the size of a grain of rice, the VeriMed microchip contains a 16-digit unique ID number. Being a passive RFID microchip, it doesn’t actively send information to the reader but requires the reader to excite the microchip to relay the information. Despite many fears from people about being tracked, the VeriMed microchip does not have tracking capabilities. The microchip is pre-loaded in a sterile inserter and comes with instructions and registration materials.
• A resident’s primary care physician and specialist can be called to assist the ER physicians in treating Brookdale resident.
• The ER team can notify the family of what is going on. In addition, the facility can be notified about what is going on with a resident.
• Clare Bridge at Tequesta, Sterling House at Tequesta, Sterling House of Stuart and Sterling House of Vero Beach are Brookdale facilities. Port St. Lucie Medical Center, Martin Memorial medical Center, Martin Memorial Hospital South, and Lawnwood Regional Medical Center are Protocol Adopted hospitals. Dr. Lillian Avner, Dr. Saluga Varghese, and Dr. Jeff Hully would all be able to chip residents at your facilities.
• Homewood Residence at Delray Beach, Homewood Residence at Boynton Beach, and The Classic at West Palm Beach at Brookdale Facilities. Dr. Jerome Spungberg, Dr. John Capone, and Dr. Henry Katz would all be able to chip residents at your facilities.
• The Preserve at Palm Aire, Homewood Coconut Creek, Homewood Residence at Boca Raton, Dr. Martin, Dr. James Provo, and Dr. Bilga Attar would all be able to chip residents at your facilities.
• Clare Bridge of Tempe, Brookdale Place of Paradise Valley, Park Regency
• Wellington Place of Hixson, Wellington Place of Cleveland, The Gardens in Cleveland are Brookdale Facilities. Memorial North Park Hospital in Hixson is a registered hospital and I am meeting with the Chief Nursing Officer in February. Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga is also coming on board. Hamilton County EMS has 18 VeriMed Scanners on the ambulances. They service all 6 area hospitals.
• Freedom Pointe Roswell, Chambrel at Roswell and Wellington Place of Kennesaw are Brookdale Facilities. North Fulton Hospital is the closet hospital that is not Protocol Adopted. They just want more people in the area to have the VeriChip and they will take the scanner. Having Brookdale request that they have the scanner because their residents will begin receiving the chip will be helpful. Emory Adventist Hospital at Smyrna, Emory Johns Creek Hospital, Emory Eastside Medical Center, Grady Memorial Hospital and Atlanta Medical Center are Protocol Adopted Hospitals. American Medical Response has 27 VeriMed Scanners on their ambulances. Dr. Steven Lenhard, Dr. Margaret White, Dr. Savoy Brummer, Dr. Alan Einstein, Dr. Clay Dunford, Dr. Gustavo Granda and Dr. John Holmes would all be able to chip residents at your facilities.
• Sterling House of Florence, Wynwood of Northampton Manor, Wynwood of Montgomery, Clare Bridge of Montgomery, Clare Bridge of Dublin, Wynwood of Florham Park, Freedom Village, Hallmark Battery Park, Hazleton General Hospital, JC Blair Memorial Hospital, Doylestown Hospital, Jennersville Regional Medical Center, Leigh Valley Hospital, LVH 17 & Chew, LVH Bethlehem, Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, Nazareth Hospital, Riddle Memorial Hospital, Ephrata Community Hospital,
