  • To DOS based library computers where we had to manually add our entire library collection
  • In 1993, we hadCD ROMs that could hold an entire encyclopedia were eagerly awaited
  • In 1996 we had one dial up computer in the school
  • Then banks of computers for class use
  • Google and Wikipedia changed the playing field
  • All teachers got laptops
  • eBooks and eReaders next
  • With the tsunami of information available
  • We can probably do without physical books
  • But can we do without libraries?
