Three chefs have 45 minutes to prepare a cooked dish using a mystery ingredient (hint: poultry), while a live audience watches at the 2011 Kosherfest trade show at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in NJ.
Taking place on the second day of the show, November 9th, the contestants were:
Chef Seth Warshaw of ETC Steakhouse in Teaneck, NJ
Chef Moshe Wendel of Pardes Restaurant in Brooklyn, NY
Chef Craig Solomon of Ariel's of Englewood in Englewood, NJ
Chef Philippe Kaemmerle, Lead Pastry Chef, The Center for Kosher Culinary Arts
Chaim Szmidt, Writer, Photographer, and Blogger, The Kosher Scene
Jack Silberstein, Director of Culinary & Business Operations, Jack's Gourmet
The competition was presented by the Center for Kosher Culinary Arts along with Jack's Gourmet, both of Brooklyn, and featured a cash prize of $1000!
