  1. 1. ASTRONOMY
  2. 2. Hubble
  3. 3. The Hubble Space Telescope is a robotic telescope located at the outer edges of the atmosphere, incircular orbit around the Earth at 593 km above sealevel, with an orbital period between 96 and 97 min.at a speed of 28,000 km / h. Called Hubble in honorof Edwin Hubble, was launched on April 24, 1990 as a joint project of NASA and ESA inaugurating theGreat Observatories program. Weighs about 11,000kilos, is cylindrical and has a length of 13.2 m and amaximum diameter of 4.2 meters. The telescope canproduce images with higher optical resolution of 0.1 arcsec.
  4. 4. INTERNATIONAL SPACE STATION
  5. 5. View from inside the spacecraft
  6. 6. The best of Hubble
  7. 7. First we have the “Galaxia del Sombrero”, also called M 104 in theMessier catalog, distance of about 28 million light years, is considered the best picture taken by Hubble.
  8. 8. Secondly we have the fabulous Mz3 Nebula Ant Nebula called thegarb of the telescopes, located between 3000 and 6000 light years.
  9. 9. Thirdly we can see the Eskimo Nebula NGC 2392, located at 5000 light years.
  10. 10. Fourthly we have chosen the stunning Cats Eye Nebula.
  11. 11. In fifth place we have chosen the Hourglass Nebula located 8000 light years, a beautiful nebula with a narrowing in the middle.
  12. 12. In sixth place we have the Cone Nebula, 2.5 light years.
  13. 13. Seventh find a fragment of the Swan Nebula, located at 5500 lightyears away, described as “a bubbly ocean of hydrogen with small amounts of oxygen, sulfur and other elements“
  14. 14. Eighth, a beautiful picture called "Starry Night"
  15. 15. Ninth, two swirling galaxies NGC 2207 and IC 2163 located 114 million light years.
  16. 16. Tenth, we see a fragment of the Trifid Nebula, a stellar cradle to 9000 light years.
  17. 17. Other Hubble’s images
  18. 18. Voyager 1
  19. 19. Present situation Voyager 1 (102 AU)
  20. 20. Dwarf planet 2003 UB 313 (Eris)
  21. 21. Comet Halley
  22. 22. Comet Halley has an elliptical orbit, with a focus on the Sun. Its orbital period is between 74 to 79 years. The last time was seenfrom Earth, was in 1986. It is estimated that its next perihelion will be in 2061.Named after the astronomer who discovered it, Edmund Halley, in 1705. Its origin is found in two places: the Kuiper Belt (a flat disk of icy debrisstar) and the Oort Cloud (a sphere of cometary bodies, whose inner edge is located about 50,000 AU)
  23. 23. M16: Eagle Nebula
  24. 24. M57: Ring Nebula
  25. 25. Nebula RCW 79
