Young guns

 1. 1. Young Guns Winter Kiss
 2. 2.

I really like this videos, because it's combines both a studio performance and a narrative.

The lighting used follows the song perfectly. Goodwin states that the music follows the visuals, and this is clearly used. This adds a dramatic effect to the video. Strobe lighting is used, possibly to represent the fast, active tempo of the music.

Throughout the video there are camera shots taken 'around a corner', or through a door.

 3. 3.

The band are dressed in blacks and greys, which follows the overall style of the video. However the young girl is dressed in white, (possibly to represent the ghostly character she seems to be playing) which makes her stand out to the audience.

The only colour in the video is the fast flashes of orange and red.

This connotes that they are not 'heavy' rock, but the dark colour scheme still represents their rock genre.

 4. 4.

Throughout the video there are camera shots taken 'around a corner', or through a door.

At 2:10 there is a shot through a window. These two camera techniques back up Andrew Goodwin's characteristics of music videos, that there is likely to be references to voyeurism.

 5. 5.

My favourite part of the video is at 3:15. The band are perfectly in sync with the song, and this is a great dramatic effect used in the video throughout, but here is seen more clearly.
