  1. 2. Who are Thompson, Melly & Charles? Thompson, Melly & Charles Limited (TMC) derives from the three founding partners. Their expertise is in finance, recruitment and business development. We are a sales generation/outsourcing business. We have one aim – Increase our clients sales
  2. 3. How will you increase our sales for us? We begin by learning about your business. We need to fully understand your product/service. We will agree an action plan with you and create a sales strategy. Our input ranges from client to client. We can and do provide a full sales representation service. We work with you providing regular communication and reports to increase success rates.
  3. 4. Are TMC an appointment setting company? No, we are not an appointment setting business. We do set appointments for clients. We do create, attend and close sales at meetings. Appointment setting companies charge per appointment and often a percentage of a successful sale. We believe pre-qualification is more important than simply booking appointments.
  4. 5. If I need a salesperson/BDM why not retain a recruitment agency? Recruitment agencies have a important function in business. (We at TMC use them) Recruiting a salesperson/BDM via an agency can be expensive (20-30% of first years salary) with no guarantee of success. A salespersons job is to sell to you. Truth is you can often just be “being told what you want to hear”.
  5. 6. Why don't we just recruit a salesperson ourselves? It will take time. Deciding on and writing job specification, CV Screening, Interviewing, Internal meetings discussing candidates. Initial cost to employ. Drawing up contract, employment law, training and national insurance. Salary cost. Typical three month probationary period (to assess performance) will result in an outlay of thousands of pounds with no guarantee of success. Effort. You cannot be sure your new recruit will put in 100%. Benefits. You will have to provide one or all of the following; PC/Laptop, Car/Car Allowance, Expenses, Commission.
  6. 7. How much do we charge? What we charge varies from client to client. This depends on amount of work involved and how much involvement we have. How many people are we targeting? Are we managing the entire sales process? How much time do you want us to assign to this? Are we creating the data and leads or are you supplying? Once we have established what you want us to do we will present you with a fee proposal.

We want to continue working with you and if we feel will not be successful we will tell you. We want to be associated with success not failure. We want our clients to continue to recommend us.
