    1. 1. VILLAGES AFFECTED BY SALINE LANDSHIFTINGAGRICULTURE
    2. 2. INTRODUCTIONSHIFTING AGRICULTURE IS DONE IN CYCLONE RAVAGED COASTAL VILLAGES BECAUSE THE LAND IS AFFECTED BY SALINE WATER.THE NEED FOR SHIFTING AGRICULTURE ARISES IN THESE VILLAGES DUE TO SALINITY IN SOIL.THE FARMERS SHOULD SHIFT FOCUS FROM RICE TO OTHER VEGETABLES FOR THE COMING WINTER.
    3. 3. THREE STEPS TO SHIFTAGRICULTURE IN VILLAGES.AGRICULTURE DISTRIBUTION INNOVATIVE TRAINING OF QUALITY TECHNIQUES SEED STEPS TO SHIFT AGRICULTURE
    4. 4. AGRICULTURE TRANING STEPS TO SHIFT AGRICULTURE
    5. 5.  The program is arranged to discuss and identify alternative crops that can be grown in the saline agricultural fields of the villages. The training is planned as part of a rehabilitation drive for farmers. Trainers will concentrate on one village on each day of training.
    6. 6. SALINE LAND IN VILLAGES HOW CAN THEY CULTIVATE IN SALINE LAND? WITH THE HELP OF PROPER TRAINING GIVEN TO THE CO-OPERATIVES THESE LAND CAN BE USED FOR CULTIVATION.
    7. 7. DISTRIBUTION OF QUALITYSEED. STEPS TO SHIFT AGRICULTURE
    8. 8. DISTRIBUTION OF QUALITY SEEDS IS IMPORTANT FOR A GOODYIELD IN THE FIELDS. Agricultural training for saline conditions who subsequently used seeds to grow vegetables. Initiative can be taken after becoming aware of the training from word-of-mouth, collected seeds and can make an effort to grow vegetables with the seeds. Distribute seeds of vegetables (Begun, Lanka, lalshak, Palongshak, mulo. Gajor, beet, olkapi, uchhe, borboti, vebdi, Lau, kumro).
    9. 9. 14 different types ofseeds ofvegetables, Spinach(Palong), Radish(Mulo), olkapi, Carrot(gajor), beat, dhone, lanka, kumro, barbati,Ladiesfinger Simultaneous edits on one single document.(vendi), waiting yourBrinjal No more uchhe, turn or managing multiple versions.(begoon) lau, lalshak aregrown inteam work, soil. It’s about saline and co-authoring will get you there.
    10. 10. INNOVATIVE TECHNIQUES STEPS TO SHIFT AGRICULTURE
    11. 11. Land condition and water availability has got amajor impact on the outcome. The latter type, particularly the low lying field, has not observed a good yield in general as the salt comes up during drying up process. Relatively higher lands which were not regularly flooded by the tidal cycle have better yield. Villagers can use the pond water mixed with tube well water. This should be the optimal solution , because the high iron content in tube well water can cause impedance to the growth of the vegetables.
    12. 12.  Farmers get a good yield by using the water from their own pond near the field. This water is not likely to be saline (or nonta) Hence would be suitable. Hence, Water from pond is favorable to the agriculture fields.
    13. 13. CONCLUSION The villagers will regain their confidence and start believing the possibilities of farming in the saline water affected land using the specialized techniques. The vegetable harvest in winter is a major step towards restoring their agriculture based livelihood. Seeds distributed properly to farmers will encourage alternative crops.
