  7. 7. September 2010 –January 2011Recycling workshopwith clients fromRehab CareFebruary 2010 tonow Open Studiosessions for clientsfrom Rehab Care.

In addition to the specific projects joyn has been running Open Studio sessions for adultsand children from diverse backgrounds on an ongoing basis. joyn provides an arttherapy service for individuals and groups. Participants come privately, or come throughinstitutions/services such as Mercy Primary School, Rehab Care, National LearningNetwork. joyn also facilitated a support group for women asylum seekers. This was apilot project funded by HSE.During the last year joyn has been running workshops for professionals in health,education and social care who are interested in learning about art therapy and how it canbe adapted to the needs of various client groups. These workshops combine elementsof art therapy theory with experiential workshops to provide a multi-faceted learningexperience. joyn facilitated training for staff from Sligo Rape Crisis and the FamilyResource Center.We are also running experiential workshops which aim to promote the personal andcreative development of participants through art making and reflection.
