(Noah, Abraham, Job- Gen:8: 20; 22:8; Job.42:8) Usually the head of the families conducted.   5. 5. LEVITICAL SACRIFICES All the five offerings were fulfilled on the Cross. In each one we see a separate profile. All were not for sin; nor sweet smelling. When put together we get it full; Yet Father alone knows in its fullness Learn, lest you may miss the profiles (But with these shadow of things – Five different profiles put together, the understanding of the Cross is so great)

LEVITICAL OFFERING (Burnt offering) An offering but not for sin Offerer must lay hand on the head and kill it; Remove the skin, cut to pieces, wash and give Aaron’s sons must lay it on the wood; And burn all on the alter for the night (If of fowl not separated as halves) Offerer just gives it to the priest and he.. (v.14-17) Priest to take blood from offerer Sprinkle or pour as required (v.5;11;15) Offerer- he will be atoned (v.4; Heb. 9: 14)

  15. 15. LEVITICAL SACRIFICES (Burnt offering) In Burnt offering we see Christ who came to do his father’s will thru his yielded life and death and become a sweet smelling sacrifice. (All it was – sweet smelling unto the Lord ) Nothing for the offerer to take back home Eph 5: 2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savor.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. (John 12:24) (No corn was accepted as it is)

LEVITICAL SACRIFICES (Peace offering) <ul><li>Peace offering shows the fellowship , which his death has brought </li></ul><ul><li>Having made peace through the blood of his cross (Col. 1: 20) </li></ul><ul><li>(Peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh . Ep.2:17) </li></ul><ul><li>For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us (Eph.2: 14) </li></ul><ul><li>That ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.   32. 32. LEVITICAL SACRIFICES (Sin offerings) <ul><li>WHAT WE WERE ? </li></ul><ul><li>1. We were sinners (Rom.5: 8) </li></ul><ul><li>A soul shall sin through ignorance against any of the commandments of the LORD concerning things which ought not to be done (Lev.4:2) </li></ul><ul><li>2.We were transgressors (Heb.9:15) </li></ul><ul><li>If a soul sin, and hear the voice of swearing,… do not utter it, then he shall bear his iniquity. (Lev.5:2) </li></ul><ul><li>Touch any unclean thing,.. be hidden from him; he also shall be unclean, and guilty .(v.3) </li></ul><ul><li>Touch the uncleanness of man,.. when he knoweth of it, then he shall be guilty.   34. 34. LEVITICAL SACRIFICES (Sin offering) Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. (Ps.51:5) He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastise-ment of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed .(Is.53: 5) Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin (Is.53:10) Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: To whom be glory for ever and ever.   40. 40. LEVITICAL SACRIFICES We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle. For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp. Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate. (Heb.13: 10-12) Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach. (Heb.13: 13)

LEVITICAL SACRIFICES No blood, no altar now, The sacrifice is o’er; No flame, no smoke ascends on high, the lamb is slain no more; But richer blood has flowed from nobler veins To purge the soul from guilt, and cleanse the reddest stains .
