This is a little pictorial representation of how my time was spent over the last eight years -- a time frame that will raise questions for a hiring manager about the gap in my employment.
This short presentation shows a glimpse of how my late husband and I chose to live out his final years while I stepped off the career path and into the mountains.

  2. 2. IN 2005 MY HUSBAND I MOVED TO THE SMOKY MOUNTAINS BECAUSE HE HAD A TERMINAL ILLNESS. WE BUILT DECKS, BRIDGES, ROCK STAIRWAYS, WATERFALLS, PONDS, FLOWER BEDS, AND WILDLIFE HABITAT.
  3. 3. WE BUILT A GREENHOUSE AND WE GREW FLOWERS, VEGETABLES, TREES, AND LUFFA.
  4. 4. WE BUILT A STUDIO FOR MY GLASS ART. THE STUDIO WON FIRST PLACE IN THE ASHEVILLE HABITAT FOR HUMANITY “REPURPOSED STRUCTURE” CONTEST.
  5. 5. I TRIED MY HAND WITH GLASS ART AND I PARTICIPATED IN THE LOCAL CREATIVE ECONOMY.
  6. 6. I STEPPED OFF MY CAREER PATH IN 2005 TO HAVE A LIFE WITH MY HUSBAND. IT WAS THE MOST PRODUCTIVE TIME OF MY LIFE. I’M BACK IN CAREER-MODE TODAY. FEARLESS, CREATIVE, READY.
