JotCache 5.3 for Joomla - Initial Setup

  1. 1. Installation #1Installation #1 Administrator->Extensions->Manage->Install Select installation file then click on button

  5. 5. List of Cached PagesList of Cached Pages Administrator->Components->JotCache Allows administrator to see cache activity on frontend pages1 To see cache changes click on REFRESH2 Delete all pages from the page cache3
  6. 6. Check cachingCheck caching Administrator->Components->JotCache Open any frontend page visible only to logged administrator Administrator->Components->JotCache After click Refresh button

Easy recache on frontendEasy recache on frontend Again request the frontend page Administrator->Components->JotCache Click on Renew button to recache current page content visible only to logged administrator Popup with Joomla internal query string (used for URL exclude) P - plugin indicator (click to go to JotCache plugin) G - global cache indicator C - page cache indicator 1

URL ExclusionURL Exclusion Administrator->Components->JotCache Administrator->Components->JotCache->Exclude URL Check row of component which pages will be excluded from caching ( if Exclude Views & Query Parameters is empty then all component pages are excluded ) popup opened with click on 'eye' in Page Title column Exclusion can be tighten to all pages of component view or even single page ( as shown here using page Itemid )

Template Position ExclusionTemplate Position Exclusion Administrator->Components->JotCache->Exclude Location All modules enabled on selected position are excluded from caching ( embedded modules cannot be excluded! ) Modules embedded in the page content by means of plugins e.g. Content - Load Modules ( Syntax: {loadposition user1} or {loadmodule mod_login} ) cannot be excluded
  11. 11. Position Exclusion CheckPosition Exclusion Check Administrator->Components->JotCache (Options) For all cached pages will be shown link on JotCache Management View with page hash code Click on the hash link open page "Cached Content Debug View" with number of position exclusions
