  18. 18. A  Case  Study  in  Student  Journals Instruc>onal  Challenge: Engage  students  in  deep  discussion  of  daily  readings  in  and  out  of  crea<ve  wri<ng   class. Instruc>onal  Strategy: Use  bSpace  Forums  to  post  daily  (3  days/week)  reflec<ons  on  readings  prior  to  class. Mee=ng  Diverse  Needs Instruc>onal  Challenge: Disabled  Students  Program  needed  to  share  accessible  materials  to  the  >  5,000   students  who  request  accommoda<ons  for  alterna<ve  media,  note-­‐taking,  and   transcrip<on  services  each  semester. Instruc>onal  Strategy: Use  groups  within  3  separate  project  sites  to  manage  and  control  access  to   accessible  course  materials. Outcomes: • Disability  Coordinators  are  able  to  save  resources  and  increase  efficiency • Students  are  able  to  access  materials  more  quickly  and  easily 11th  Sakai  Conference  -­‐  June  15-­‐17,  2010 10
