  5. 5. Design SBC’s survey design process involves close coordination between client representatives and the SBC’s Sales Executive and Research and Design Specialist. The end result is a customized survey tailored specifically to your information needs and strategic objectives. We also keep your end-goal in mind. Alternatively, if you have an existing survey draft, your SBC representative can review it, suggest revisions based on survey experience, and optimize the survey instrument for best results. If you do not have an existing survey draft, SBC will create a survey questionnaire tailored specifically to your organization’s needs and strategic objectives. Survey Design and Services Include: • Survey questionnaire design or review consultation by SBC Research and Design Specialist. • Customized survey URL (e.g. www.survey.com). • Customized online survey with client logo and colors or blind market research survey using SBC template. It will appear as your survey. • Professional, timely, user-friendly design that matches your corporate image. • Response verification to assure all required questions are completed. • Save-and-resume feature to allow users to save and alter resume the survey. • Multiple language survey versions are available. • Surveys may include response grids, radio buttons, drop-down list boxes, check boxes, choose many list boxes, ranking questions, numerical response fields, and paragraph response fields. Administration Once the design phase is complete, SBC consults with you to determine the best security level, incentives, deadlines, and respondent notification method for your particular project. We help you with every decision along the way to make the process as easy and stress-free as possible. A secure and confidential online survey is key to collecting the true sentiments of customers, potential customers, or employees. Since unsecure surveys can be subject to bias response averages, SBC protects the security of your survey while maintaining respondent anonymity. SBC protects the anonymity of your survey respondents by stripping the data of all identifying information before passing on survey results to the client. However, if customer information needs to be obtained by the client, we ensure that this information goes directly to the client. A high survey response rate is necessary to control costs, produce statistically precise data, and provide actionable survey results. We have identified various techniques to survey effectively: Online Surveys For online surveys, personalized email invitations; website links; or postcard invitations are sent to each respondent with simple instructions for accessing and completing the survey. Telephone Surveys Telephone surveys are set-up exactly as online surveys, except friendly call center personnel administer the survey rather than the respondents completing it directly. Personal Face-to-Face Interviews and/or Focus Groups Sometimes the preferred way to get an individual’s reaction to an issue is by having live conversations. This process requires a much more custom effort. Over the years SBC has hosted Focus Groups for a variety of industries in over 20 countries. In addition to read between the lines we have interviewed hundreds of people to not just ascertain factual results, but to also get a sense of how they feel by their reactions to our questions posed. This process of surveying individuals through live interviews or focus groups is without a doubt more challenging and time consuming. However it also allows us to ask questions that might come up as a result of how people react.
