Is your chapter a high-functioning team ? 1-10 <ul><li>An extremely clear mandate that all the team members are fully committed to achieving? </li></ul><ul><li>A written set of ground rules for performance expectations and behavior ? </li></ul><ul><li>Effective meetings that stay on agenda and always end with clearly identified next steps and action owners? </li></ul><ul><li>100% Clarity around assignments and appropriate competencies? </li></ul><ul><li>An agreed upon decision making process? </li></ul><ul><li>A clearly defined process for reviewing team effectiveness and dealing with issues and conflict within the team. </li></ul><ul><li>A strong sense of camaraderie, mutual support, respect and mutual accountability? </li></ul><ul><li>Very high levels of courageous, open, honest and frank communication. </li></ul>

Focus – Discipline - Action Few critical objectives “ NO” Guiding Collation… The entire team Vision + Values Strategy Plans Goals / Objectives Tactics / Actions Procedures / Protocols Repeatable Process Honest /clear / consistent / relentless Training + time / money / supplies / people Measure / Track Over-communicate Transparency Renewal Praise + Celebration and Eliminate Mediocrity 

Ideas into Action <ul><li>Pick just a FEW critical objectives (4-7) to implement. </li></ul><ul><li>Create a guiding coalition of key brothers that are100% committed. </li></ul><ul><li>Build a preliminary plan, create some strategies, cobble together a few creative ideas, put some stuff on paper --- then go get feedback and input from everyone. </li></ul><ul><li>Build consensus, gain buy-in, expand the commitment… create a SHARED vision of the future that the entire chapter is inspired to achieve. </li></ul><ul><li>Develop SMART goals, assign action owners, set due dates, confirm competence and needed support, create systems and processes, focus on effective execution. </li></ul><ul><li>Review progress DAILY, hold people 100% accountable, ask for HELP --- be rigorous – but never ruthless. </li></ul><ul><li>Celebrate small and big victories, give ample praise, thank people often, show them you appreciate them -- AND… deal decisively with mediocrity. </li></ul>
