MANY HANDSMany hands planted the seeds for this garden. In December of 2008, members of Sustainable Lafayette LocalFoods Group imagined building a collaborative community gardenand outdoor education center. And, from this seed of an idea, amighty garden is growing.Brainstorming sessions led to plans drawn up in 2010. Anagreement reached in 2011 with EBMUD and the City ofLafayette placed the garden across from the Lafayette Reservoir.More than 70 local families have expressed an interest in buildingthe garden and hundreds more are following the progress of thisproject at www.sustainablelafayette.org.
