Victorians come from over 200 countries, speak 260 different languages and dialects and follow 135 different faiths. During Cultural Diversity Week, community and cultural groups host hundreds of festivals and events across the state to celebrate Victoria's cultural, linguistic and religious diversity. The Week coincides each year with the United Nations' International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination on 21 March. http://www.harmony.gov.au/
  8. 8. FACES Sprite Doll No 1 Sprite Doll No 2 I purposely did not give these dolls facial features so that they can represent their type of giftedness without also showing any racial or ethnic characteristics. Gifted and Talented students can be of any racial/ethnic/ cultural/ economic/religious group so it was more helpful for the dolls to be neutral in regard to these aspects of their character.
