  8. 8. What to bring <ul><li>Durable rain gear*: fully waterproof jacket w/hood and pants. No ponchos! </li></ul>NO YES
  9. 9. Foot gear <ul><li>Hiking boots* or shoes with sturdy sole and ankle support. No sneakers! (Note: AMC has some of these but not enough for all students. Please try to borrow shoes and use AMC as a last resort.) </li></ul>
  10. 10. Extremities <ul><li>Wool or fleece hat </li></ul><ul><li>2 pairs of gloves or mittens </li></ul>

  12. 12. Wicking layer <ul><li>Long underwear*: midweight polypropylene/polyester long sleeved shirt and pants – no cotton! (Under Armour is an example of an acceptable wicking layer.) </li></ul>
  13. 13. T-shirts <ul><li>T-shirt for hiking (synthetic great, cotton OK for hiking) </li></ul><ul><li>2-3 extra indoor shirts (cotton is fine) </li></ul>

Indoor clothes <ul><li>Comfortable indoor pants for lodge and travel </li></ul><ul><li>2-3 extra indoor shirts (cotton is fine) </li></ul><ul><li>Extra socks and underwear for lodge (2-3 pr. Cotton OK) </li></ul><ul><li>Pajamas or sweats for sleeping </li></ul><ul><li>Sneakers or comfy shoes for in the hut </li></ul>
